    Todays Thought

It is not sufficient to be right about God, if you're not right by God.

Talking about It will all work out in the end

There is a reason to bring attention to the health needs of artists. Artists are too often looked at as taking more from society than they contribute. While this can be true in certain cases it should not be the general rule. A lack of adequate routine visits to a quality doctor can mean the difference between a major health problem becoming life threatining or preventing it from getting to that point. To often those who choose the arts as a vocation are penalized because of societal misconceptions about what the value of their life talents are and how they can benefit their communities and the lives of others they reach through their expression.

    Quote

It will all work out in the end
Because quite frankly,  in the end none of us will cost a thing.

    Thought and Knowledge of Self

No one can stop you from achieving your goals. Whether it be to create music, pave roads..... you name it. As long as your not hurting yourself or others in the process, success can be yours. Even if some try to create the illusions that your ambition is negative, the fact is they may just be unhappy with their own failures, or failures they perceive as certain to come, as a result of your successes. Be reasonable here when examining your personal situations. Stand tall for what you believe, or one can always stand to fall before those who have deceived. Be thoughtful and know yourself first before bragging about who you think you might know gets in the way.

    Fight poverty

Poverty is difficult situation, but most of all for those entangled in it. I encourage all to give. Whether it be a meal or something else, don't let anything hold you back from giving to those in need. You don't need to go on a big mission, see alot of people in alot of places. All it takes is a hand; if you dont have money, but you do have time, offer your time to someone that is need. Do it before it is way too late! Too many kids suffering.

February 10, 1991 Newspaper Article w/ Just nyce

They came to my house in early February, 1991 when I was a kid and asked me to tell them what I knew about hip-hop. I didn't feel like saying much. They ended up doing something totally different with it. Thanks Dan, Now where are my videos I havent seen in almost twenty years. lol

    Food for Thought

Have you ever noticed in some songs they like to say things like:

...Thats why I wrote this song

...So I thought I would put it in a song

...I sat down and put it in a song

... I decided to put it in this song
I don't understand this. If your listening to the song, you know why they are singing it. Theres no need to mention one of the above as far as I can tell.

This has been another food for thought from Justnyce. Thanks for taking time out to read from this.

    Update

The next full length is likely to include a collaboration track or two. Not sure which direction as far as genres go. That has always been the big pain in the butt. Those stinkin labels and categories, I can do without these days.No big deal though, just the way things move from time to time. Music is good for you, like gardening or playing ball, something to balance out the paper chase. I have to say, new vinyl is harder and harder to come by. You just don't see any. Hopefully, we may find another decade or two of the glorious acetate that is so integral in the structure of this music. Somehow it will all work out. God will make a way. The only thing gained from sin is the lesson of failure, but be thankful for having gained it. As someone said to me not too long ago "life is fragile bro", but it is so beautiful.

Music / Hip Hop and Business Driven Elements (an ugly side to a beautiful expression)

As Stated before, I did not largely stop making and spinning music called "Hip Hop" in the early 1990s to discredit Hip Hop, I did it to help Hip Hop, because I saw it moving in the wrong direction concerning the business relationship it was entering into and ultimately that’s still Hip Hop's biggest problem today.

This has been one of the most ignored topics in my view, with major financers cashing in and then quickly pulling out when things get hairy. Artists selling their soul because most contractual language in a record deal is designed to intimidate, and they know/knew that the artists have/had few resources to bring their own legal leverage into a deal signing. The end product being music that is designed to run across violence, sex driven and unscrupulous marketing lines. That resulting in the creative community being filled with more and more discontent and anger. Isolatation and abandoned become their refuge, but are just another form of destruction both personally and professionally.  Its just another artist lost to their convictions and they will simply sign another and use the (name) fame of the prior to fuel their soul gambling addiction, while leaving that other artist without a pot to P in.

The expectation is that they can always recycle the ruined artist again if their gamble on renaming the next stary eyed victim doesn't pay off, and the stakes have been intentionally made high enough to allow them to pat themselves on the back as good samaritans for helping out someone they were partly responsible in digging the hole for.

Their public relations M.O. is in deep conflict with their true intentions. This applies to many other music genres as well, perhaps any and all that gain enough traction to sell. A proverbial business model that is certain to rot in the pile of falsehood and what they believe as passion that can be stolen, then sold or traded back. No regard for intellectual property rights, dirty up campaigns to destroy one's good works. None are perfect, but there is no excuse for repeating the same racket decade after decade with little or no remorse, or the honesty to admit there is a problem.

If the Artist is fully intent on making their own trash then they can answer for it themselves. The intention of this writing is not to cast a dark cloud over the entire business altogether. People have to eat, of course. However, the only companies and artists getting mad reading this post are the ones still acting this way.

Without question I will continue to be me, and do what I have done best according to the listeners over these last 20 years; that is to continue bringing inspirational music; however its labeled to the dancefloors, the streets and the airwaves.
